Palak calls for HSBC to raise funds for startup-innovators

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak has called upon the private bank HSBC to set up a dedicated fund for startup innovators. The state minister made the call while participating in the grand finale of HSBC-BRAC Business School Business Case Competition 2021 on May 22. In his speech, Palak highlighted the various steps taken by the ICT Division in the development of information technology in the country. He added that the government is focusing on creating a startup culture and ecosystem aimed at building future leadership. HSBC Bangladesh CEO Mahbub Rahman, BRAC Business School Vice President Dr. Mohammad Mahbub Rahman, Head of Trade and Investment at the British High Commission's Department of International Trade, Dirik Griffiths, Samin Rahman, Group CEO of Transcom Group, and other senior HSBC and BRAC officials were present in the program. The Gold Winner of the event was Hatti Ma Tim Team of Bangladesh University of Professionals. Besides, Silver Winner and Bronze Winner are the two teams of the IBA Department of Jahangirnagar University.
